What is the power or change you seek? What future do you want for yourself? Your family? Your community? The world?
Join artist Nancy Nowacek with MJ Shepard-Nusbaum to call on the forces of the Wallkill.
Manifest your intention by casting a power object, made of ice, into the Wallkill. Each object will melt completely—leaving nothing but your intention for the future behind.
Your offering will flow from the Wallkill to the Rondout and beyond, joining the currents of the world’s waters.

Incorporated into this ritual is The Algonquin Water Song, created by Irene Wawatie Jerome, an Anshinabe/Cree, to be sung to water around the world by women. The history of the song and its creators, the melody and lyrics can be found here: www.singthewatersong.com.
