“To give a name, and, equip with arms” are the original definitions of the word ‘dub’, which has since—in the shortening of the word ‘doubling’—come to mean lip-synced vocals overlaid in film or television. Collected with an iPhone camera by the artist when too ill and exhausted with Long Covid to do anything other than lay in front of the television, the featured figures in each print serve as her avatar, situated in opposition to news images of a world falling apart around her in April, May and June of 2020, including pictures of a public in protest and riot.
